My story

Pico is a handsome little brown tabby who loves to wrestle and play with other kittens and cats. He is current on vaccines and flea & worm prevention, combo test negative, micro-chipped, and neutered. At about 12 weeks old he LOVES to play with toys and chase a feather stick, but is still a little wary of people reaching for him, so would not be good for grabby young kids. He would be a perfect companion for another cat or kitten! We have adopted several kittens like Pico to households with grumpy old cats who won't play with the younger cat in the family, and it's a perfect arrangement for all involved! He is also at a good age to introduce to cat-friendly dogs.

Campus Cats adopts to indoor-only homes and requires the adopter to bring a cat carrier for safe transport.

We do not have a set adoption fee, but ask for a donation of your choice to help us help more kittens like Pico.

Why adoption is a great option

Pico, a Wakinsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakinsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wakinsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakinsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakinsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakinsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
