My story

Sweet Pineapple is a precious mama that came to Hart County Humane Society back in June of 2022 with her two sweet babies Strawberry and Watermelon. Pineapple is very sweet and loving and wants lots of attention. She is currently being fostered in a home with dogs, other adult cats and kids and will do well in any setting. For any questions contact Pineapples foster mom Abigail at 706-436-9411!

Additional adoption info

We screen applicants to adopt a pet with an application form, interview, and veterinarian reference. We want all of our pets to be adopted into homes where they are with the family inside at night and during family time. Our adoption fee is $145 for dogs and $65 for cats. All animals offered for adoption have been spayed or neutered, and are up to date on vaccinations and parasite preventives. Cats have been tested for FIV, feline leukemia and heartworms. Dogs been tested for heartworms and treated if positive. All animals have had a microchip implanted. Adopters are required to sign an adoption agreement which includes a commitment to return the animal to the Hart County Humane Society at any time in the life of the animal if the adopter is unable or unwilling to keep and care for the animal, and not to give or sell the animal to anyone else.

Go meet their pets

We offer dogs and cats for adoption at the J Robert Mauldin Sanctuary, 1364 Reed Creek Hwy, Hartwell, GA and the PetSmart store on Clemson Blvd. in Anderson, SC. Cats may be seen at the store 7 days a week, and dogs are at PetSmart every Wednesday, various weekends, and by appointment with the foster family.
