My story

Hello everyone! I'm Clara and I'm ready to start the rest of my life in a wonderful, loving home. I'm such a cuddle bug as I adore people and other dogs. I'm just a happy, happy girl who wants to be loved so much. My tail wags will melt you heart.
I'm a four year old Shorkie (shih tzu/Yorkie) fully vetted, heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped and just had my teeth cleaned at the vet so I'm a sparkling new girl, weighing in at 11.9 lbs.
I really don't shed much at all, but I'll need regular grooming to keep my coat beautiful.
I have good manners and know a few basic commands, but am still working on being fully housebroken, so will need some patience with that, but I'm a quick learner and enjoy having a routine.

I do well on leash, great in the car, and am crate-trained. I am pretty quiet, too.

No children under 10.

Why adoption is a great option

Clara, a Atlanta Shih Tzu/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
