My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viola
Chihuahua
Female
8 years old
10 lbs.

Hi there, my name is Viola. I’m a sweet little Chihuahua looking for a forever family who I can give endless love and companionship to! I’m just the sweetest!

I’m just the happiest little gal who is doing so well in her foster home. I love cuddling with my favorite humans, exploring the backyard, and going on walks. I don’t need much exercise throughout the day-just enjoy a nice stroll with my human. But I mostly like to lay by your side and sun bathe in my favorite spot by the window. I enjoy meeting new people-I sometimes need a second to completely warm up (and have this little bark greeting when I first say hi!) but I just want to be besties with you from there. I do great with other dogs as well! I’ve lived with dogs previously and I do just fine with cats as well. I haven’t met any kids in my foster home, but I might do well if they’re gentle with me. I have wonderful manners around my foster home and have been a lovely house guest. I do appreciate being let outside for potty time every couple of hours and once a week or so, I have a little accident (typically when my foster mom hasn’t been able to let me out in time!) so just something for a potential adopter to know and be gentle with me about.

I recently had a dental appointment so my teeth are in really good health! But I did have some extractions so I’ll need soft or wet food to help me eat comfortably. I also have a lower grade luxating patella (it can be really common for small dogs and it basically means that my knee cap can sit a little awkwardly.) I don’t need to have it surgically repaired since it’s more on the mild side. But it is important for me to maintain a healthy weight as that will help me stay comfortable (and healthy overall as well!)

Are you ready for the sweetest little friend? Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Or contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
