My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blynken is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, male, DOB: 5/2/22
This delightfully charming young cat is a friendly, social, and pretty confident young cat who also happens to be really good-natured and easy-to-please. An affectionate and endearing young cuddle-bug, Blynken will be looking for opportunities to give and receive loving-attention, and he enjoys some cuddling in the arms of those he knows and trusts. And you guessed it, he readily welcomes snuggles with his purr motor getting pretty revved-up when getting pets.
More looking to operate in his comfort zone than having reservations and not shy in-the-least, Blynken is a confident, playful, pretty active, and undemanding young feline who is just darn happy to be in the company of people and other cats and kittens he knows. Also a gentle feline with a sensitive soul, he, like his siblings, is a total people-cat. With animated expression and completely engaging personality; this swashbuckling, adventurer will appreciate daily opportunities for ruff-n-tumble playtime as well as independent exploration avid hunting of household shadows, toy mice, and dust bunnies will, no doubt, be a lifelong favorite activity.
Blynken, along with littermates, Nod and Wynken: came to Monroe SPCA as orphans needing critical care - all 3 kittens, not able to eat on their own, found outdoors. The three kitten siblings spent their first months with Monroe SPCA in medical foster being treated for URIs, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm.
Now a happy, healthy feline, Blynken is looking for his forever home with a family who can give him the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Blynken can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.
Blynken is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He's comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Blynken currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
