My story

Name: Phoebe Buffay
Breeds: Pit Bull Mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female
Size: Large

Phoebe arrives to Minnesota on September 10th and is looking for a home to call her own. She would love it if you would pick her up that day and make her yours. All adoptions have a 7 day trial period to ensure the best fit for dog and human(s). Please note that in order to be considered for adoption the application at the end of this bio must be completed. We choose adopters based on timing of applications as well as best fit.

Much like her namesake, the friends character, this girl is kind-hearted and optimistic. This marshmallow is ready for all the love and belly rubs her new people have to offer her. She is gentle and sweet, loves other dogs, kids and is fine with cats. Our guess is she is about 3-4 years old. She didn’t have any puppies with her when she was brought into rescue, but it is clear she has had several in the past. She also has some significant scarring down her back. It doesn’t bother her and it was present before she came to rescue so we don’t know what it is from, but she doesn’t grow hair in those patches (you can see them in the photos). We know she is going to make an excellent addition to just about any home. She is working on perfecting her potty training and does well in a crate while you are gone. She went through heartworm treatment in late July and will be off exercise restrictions once she arrives.

Requirements: No special requirements

Adoption Fee: $400 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.

Why adoption is a great option

Phoebe Buffay, a Minneapolis Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
