It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient.
Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. Our adorable bonded pair, Petra (female, 2 year old dachshund mix) & Artemi (2 year old terrier mix), are sure to win your heart! They will be a constant source of laughter as well as tug at your heartstrings on a daily basis with lots of snuggling & kisses. Artemi & Petra were dumped in an industrial parking lot along with their 6 puppies. ☹️😡 They have been the best parents to their babies! Artemi & Petra are good with other dogs but do get intimidated by large, rambunctious ones. Petra is extremely mischievous & playful; she's a busy girl who loves to wrestle, chase and play with toys. Artemi likes to do the same but has less energy; if you are sitting down, he wants to be in your lap. He is a huge cuddle bug! Both are extremely affectionate! Because Artemi's energy level is less than Petra's, if there were another small to midsize very playful dog in their new home, it would be a definite perk for Petra. They are working on potty training and are crate trained. They are still a bit timid with new people but given a few minutes, warm up and enjoy getting attention. They would not do well in a home with young children or lots of visitors as it would be overwhelming for them. We recommend a home with no children under 14 as kids coming to visit might not know how to greet them properly. A fenced in yard is an absolute must for Artemi & Petra as running full speed and tumbling around in the grass bring them great joy. They do enjoy their walks very much as well.
