In fact, she brings the party with her wherever she goes. You simply cannot ignore this dog--from those adorable looks to her outgoing (Look at me! Look at me!) personality, Micah knows she is the star of the show. She weighs about 35 pounds and, at about two years of age, Micah is fully grown. Her tail rarely stops wagging and she's got that irresistible Aussie wiggle. If Micah's blue merle coloring doesn't grab your attention, her gorgeous eyes are sure to do the trick. Her left eye is crystal blue with a small wedge of brown and her right eye is a beautiful brown. Micah is intensely curious, observant and intelligent. Because she is adventuresome, Micah does need some occasional redirection, especially when her curiosity gets the better of her. Micah needs an owner who will gently remind her that dog paws belong on the floor and not on the counter top. She absolutely cannot help herself when it comes to socks, and unattended socks will be carried off and chewed. Micah learns quickly what you want from her, but that doesn't mean she won't check to make sure you really mean it. She's quite the character! Micah is the tops when it comes to interacting with people of all ages. She especially adores children and will snuggle and nuzzle her way into their hearts....and yours! However, because of Micah's penchant for picking up small items, she would do best in a home without an abundance of children's toys. It certainly would not be above her to give a Lego a good chewing. Micah is an athletic, fun-loving girl and would welcome an active owner. If you come bearing squeaky toys or tennis balls, even better. It is important to note that Micah will not share her person with another dog. She is very jealous when it comes to having more than one doggie star in the house. For this reason, we will place Micah into a home where there are no other pets. Micah is current on her shots, crate-trained, and spayed. She is taking heartworm prevention. Micah is 100% reliable in her use of the doggie door, to which she has access when her foster family is home. (If you do not have a pet door, rest assured that Micah will readily pick up on your routine.) Because of Micah's youth and her ability to create her own entertainment, we advise that her adopter be comfortable with crate-training. Micah is an affectionate, joyful member of her foster family. Her real desires are that of snuggling (lots of it!), as well as play and excitement with the people she knows. (And if you are a stranger, you won't be one for long if Micah has her say!) If you are looking for a high energy dog with a great sense of humor, look no further. If you want a companion who will make you the center of her world, and you are willing to make the commitment to training, please consider Micah. She will be happiest in an active home, so please no couch potatoes. :) We are accepting applications for our own Miss Personality now, so hurry to complete yours, or you will miss out on a very special dog.
