My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! Are you looking for a fluffy, spirited sweetheart that tilts her head in the cutest way when she listens to you talk (think of the dog in As Good As It Gets)? Well then, look no further. Rory is a young terrier mix with bounds of joy and playful energy.

Rory loves to play! A home with an equally young and playful dog would be ideal. If she is an only dog, she would love going to doggy day care a couple days a week. A home with an older or chill dog is probably NOT the best fit because she will want to play with the older dog nonstop.

Rory is about 80% potty trained and thrives when she has frequent and consistent potty breaks. Therefore, someone who is home most of the day would be awesome. She loves all dogs and all humans and doesn’t seem to have any fears. At the same time, Rory was found as a stray in rural GA. In fact, when Releash got her, she was very matted and skinny. Due to such neglect, Rory is a shadow pup—she will try to stay in your shadow at all times and does not like being left alone. If left alone, she will let you and the world know about it. So, a home with shared walls is not allowed.

She is just now getting used to her crate during the day (as long as the door is open), but will not sleep in it at night. She is an awesome cuddle bug and doesn’t take up much room in her human’s bed. Rory sleeps through the night, but is ready to start her day early in the morning.

Because of her small size and desire to taste test new things, she should not be left unattended outside and a fence is not required. Moreover, given that Rory is only 11 pounds and is unlikely to get much bigger, no children under 8 years old. Also, she’s a fluffy mutt, so regular grooming should be expected. Rory gets car sick, but it is easily treated with motion sickness medicine. Rory is a smart girl—she knows “sit” and walks on a leash with a harness beautifully.

Overall, she is a perfect little girl and full of love. She will make an awesome addition to the right family. Rory can’t wait to meet you!

Requirements:

No shared walls

No children under 8 years old
