Fostered in Dixon, Ca. Cookie, our Queen of Hearts! Tuxedo (DOB: 10.21.21) Cookie had a very rough beginning in life, dumped in the country to fend for herself wondering where her next meal would come from. Cookie was alone and very frightened, along came two beautiful ladies & children... With persistency, love and patience and dedication they gained Cookies trust, nobody was about to give up on her again! Cookie has three hearts figures on her soft fur...these hearts explain her character quite well, she has much love to give! She wishes people would see her clipped ear as an extra touch of love, once at an adoption event it was asked who would want her with her clipped ear, sad. Cookie is purrfect! She adores respectable children, welcomes being craddled in ones arms, she is also socialized with resbectable pups & kitties! Her ultimate favorite interaction is BELLY RUBS!!! She is a purr machine. Cookie enjoys being with her hoomans.Her diet is wet and kibble cat food, she is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, FELV/FIV negative, parasite tested negative, litter-box smart, flea treated and a clean healthcheck! ....she does very well with nail clipping and ear cleanin. Cookie is in search of a loving person to open their heart to her & welcome her into her very own family. Cookie has a beautiful, loving, caring character. Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Please allow 5-7 business days to receive a response. Will be reviewed by Günter's Legacy Animal Rescue Board of Directors.

2.
Interview

If the board approves your application you may receive a call for a phone interview.

3.
Home Check

If application receives initial approval, we will schedule a mandatory home visit. Please note, if you rent we do check with the landlord.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will schedule a meet and greet with the potential adopters and dog(s). It is required all members of the adoptive family must be present.

5.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Existing pets, required all the pets are properly introduced by GLAR. We will not adopt a dog into a home that has reached it's city mandate

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

If app, home check, and meet and greet are approved we move forward with signing the contract.

7.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee can be paid by PayPal, cash, or check but must be paid at the time of signing the contract. The adoption fee is non-refund

Additional adoption info

We do not adopt to households with children under the age of 10 years old.

We do not adopt out of state.

When considering adopting a dog please remember some dogs can live to be 15 into their 20s.

We do not adopt to people looking for a dog as a gift.

We do not adopt further than 1.5 hours from us.

We do not have a facility we are a foster-based rescue. All of our dogs are in foster homes, you cannot meet the dog before you are an approved adopter.
