My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‼️DUMPED BY HIS OWNER IN A DOG PARK‼️
After 10-11 years.
Located in Los Angeles.
MEET SPARKY - A 10-11 year old Shepherd x Husky mix is looking for forever home.Below is his story
Sparky is a 10-11 -year-old neutered Husky/Shepherd-mix that weighs about 60 pounds. He is a sweet, calm and low-energy dog that will be a great companion for an adult home who loves to chill in the house and go for walks in the neighborhood.
Sparky walks well on the leash, doesn't pull much, but loves to sniff all the wonderful smells outdoors. He is good at meeting dogs on leash - he doesn't really bark or react to seeing them. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and has not shown any aggression. Sparky lives in a foster home with other dogs and does well with them. He is crate-trained and housebroken in his foster home.
A little bit about his past: Sparky was dumped in a dog park by his previous owner. He was fortunate that a lovely family found him and took him home to try and find his owners. After some research, they were able to reach his previous home that had owned him since he was a few weeks old, but sadly they decided they didn’t want him anymore… Poor Sparky was confused for a while, and didn't understand why he suddenly ended up with some strangers! The family decided to foster him until a good home was found. Being a senior and losing his home, Sparky had a hard time at first - it took him a few weeks to settle into his foster home.
What kind of home does Sparky need?
An adult home with no young kids, since he has not been around young children. He is a senior dog and it will take him a few weeks to settle into a new home- so he needs someone patient and willing to work at earning his trust.
Even though he is older, due to his being part Husky it will be best to have a very secure yard with a min. 6-foot fence.
Sparky is a courtesy post. Angels Bark Dog Rescue will be helping him to find the right home. There will be an adoption fee and it will be paid to the foster family, to cover their expenses on his behalf.
