My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is a very special soul, with a big heart and smile. She loves children and people and belly rubs. Honey loves her toys and keeps them close, but so far only the Kong toys (cloth octopus) have survived. She is house broken, having no accidents during her foster care. She sleeps in her bed (a large wire cage) and once she knows where this will be, she will go in if the door is open as her safe place. She does very well on the leash, but occasionally gets a little excited if other people are around. She likes to take car rides and sits or lays on the back seat. Honey is very smart and learns quickly. She knows the commands sit, wait, come and heel - she also has hand signals to each of these commands. She plays a little rough, so she would do well in a home with older children and be an only pet. Honey gets a little skiddish with loud noises or voices, but does well with steady, loving training when new things are introduced to her. Honey has survived so much and is full of love to give.

Also, Honey is around cats and likes to play with them, but she is rough and I would not leave her alone with them … we think she thinks they are toys! She’s anxious around other dogs and would likely be best as an only dog.
