My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful girl is Zara - she's a 4 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix.  What she's mixed with, we have no idea - but some of our guesses are Whippet or Grey Hound because she's so tall and lean.  She currently weighs about 20 pounds and we believe she'll be a large dog when full grown.

Zara Mae (as her foster mama calls her) is a total sweetheart - she loves to be loved!  Overall, she's pretty gentle for a puppy and her foster thinks she'd do well with kids.  Zara is also pretty quiet, in fact her foster has only heard her bark a handful of times when she wanted to play.  She's extremely smart and treat motivated, so she'll be a fast learner with basic obedience.  And if you're looking for an Agility partner she'd probably excel in it.  Zara seems to have mastered "sit" and will willingly go to her puppy cabana for a piece of kibble.

Zara has been very patient and respectful of her canine foster sisters, while still begging them to play with her.  She would LOVE a doggy playmate, but she'll be just fine loving only humans too.  We don't know how she will do with cats.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
