My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Bruno. Don't let my timid nature fool you, I'm a smart, independent, and loyal companion. My energy is boundless, and nothing makes me happier than a good walk. I'm a one-dog kind of dog, so I'd prefer to be your only pet. I may be a bit shy at first, but give me a little time, and I'll show you my true colors. I'm eager to find my forever home where I can offer my unwavering loyalty and companionship. If you're looking for a devoted friend who'll always be by your side, look no further. Adopt me, and let's start our adventure together.

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
