Axel was just moments from euthanasia when he was surrendered to a Maryland shelter by the girlfriend of a service man. He is a big baby... he loves attention and will paw at you if you don't pet to him. He is like having a baby at times and will cry for no reason. He talks to you if he wants to go outside or if he wants something. Sometimes it's a guessing game to figure it out. He loves to be with you. He does not like to be alone and would be more than happy to go anywhere you go. He is crate trained and potty trained. He loves people! He does not like all other dogs and can be redirected and will stop. Axel requires med's for his seizures disorder. While in our care we have never witnessed a seizure. Axel is happy to take long naps on the sofa and will remove pillows or blankets that he thinks are in his way. If your looking for a companion that will be dedicated through and through. Axel is your boy. He will require a firm handler as he can be a little bull headed and is a BIG boy! Applications are available on our website www.onedogatatime.us.
