Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ghost.
Is believed to be 3.5 years old, mom was believed to be a boxer husky black lab pity mix. The amount of personality this goofy looking pup has is extraordinary and out of this world. He is a sweet heart and joyful spirit. He is also a distemper survivor puppy left with permanent nerve damage to his nervous system. And after fighting to live litterly more times than we can count we are happy to share he always comes out stronger. Ghost has partial facial paralyzing, repeated tic movements, yet he is always happy and smiling. He has a huge heart full of love he is ready to share. Ghost is always up to going on walk, swimming, car rides, or just snuggles and cuddles as long as he can spend time with his humans he's always eager to please. He is amazing and strong will, and joyful all while spreading his love to all who is willing to share their time with him. Ghost is friendly with every animal of every species big or small, he loves them all. Ghost know all his basic command, muzzle trained, walks perfect on leash, great recall. He is all around awesome. Ghost loves food too, he is very treat and praise motivated as well. He is amazing with kids of all ages. Ghost is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto and corona, as well as rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, and free registration, neutered, and current on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention.

We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

More about this rescue
Every animal in our care comes to us with their own story. Many of them have had it harder than others, and have scars that need a healing touch. What they all have in common, is that they came to us from other rescues/shelters that felt they couldn’t take on their individual needs, and give them the necessary care needed to help them bloom into family pets. Most pets we welcome into our program, need extensive behavior and/or medical care before they are ready for their forever homes. We provide each pet with an unlimited amount of time to recover, along with individualized care and training customized to there needs.
We at Animal House Sanctuary love a challenge and have a soft spot for these special pets in need. Most of all, we love seeing each individual pet change into the family pet they were always meant to be. Watching this firsthand, is beyond rewarding and fills us with a joy that cannot be described in words.
We are a 501(c) Licensed Nonprofit organization that is ran 100% by Volunteers. Our mission is to help homeless animals find great forever homes. Our heart is with the community, helping families keep their pets at home. We are involved with informing our local community about the importance of spaying/neutering their pets. We also help feed the homeless and their pets. Senior pets are precious and dear to our hearts which is why we are involved with the Hospice Heaven program. This consists of pulling older cats and dogs from high kill shelters and placing them in a loving home. This often includes matching senior pets with a Senior Adaptor. Sharing joy and respect for all precious life is something that we love doing, and will continue to do, for it fills our hearts.
