Hughie's adoption donation is $400 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, dhlpp, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, and started on prevention as well as flea prevention. Hughie has also had a dental cleaning with extractions.
Hughie came into rescue through no fault of his own when he was no longer useful to a commercial breeder. He was a filthy, matted mess and he is really coming out of his shell. He loves, loves, loves to be with his person and would be best as an only dog or with another indifferent female in the house. He looks forward to his walks on a leash, and while a fenced yard would be ideal, he truly wants to be with his person. He is also doing very well on the house training front if kept on a schedule. A home with children over the age of 8-10. He does kennel well but because he loves his people so much, someone who works from home or is retired/home a lot would be the best situation for him.
