My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bunker is a male German Shepherd born approximately 4-1-2022.
Bunker is housebroken and crate trained, although he doesn’t really love it. He knows some basic commands such as sit and come, he is a work in progress with a leash.
Bunker will require continued training and enrollment in basic puppy obedience to make him a good canine citizen. A home with breed experience and another canine companion would be most beneficial.
He’s a very sweet boy who adores belly rubs and time with humans and canine siblings.
He loves to carry around his stuffies and treats them like his baby.
We do require a home with a secure 6 foot fence, we prefer a home with no children under age 5.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
