Hi! I'm Ava! I am a female, 6 year old, Pit mix and weigh approx. 55lbs. I was surrendered due to my family no longer being able to care for me. I am SUPER affectionate! I walk well on a leash and I am crate trained. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE tennis balls! Bring me home and let's play a game of fetch! Do not let my age fool you, I am still an active girl. I know how to sit, shake, down, and spin! I am treat-motivated and still very willing to learn! I am crate trained and house broken! I am friendly with people of all ages! I have been looking for my new family for 596 days as of 04/24/24! Since I am considered a Diamond Dog, my adoption fee is $75. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my basic vaccines. I am also heartworm negative! I would love to find my FURever person or family soon, could that be you?

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.

Dogs are tested for heartworms (if old enough), spayed/neutered, microchipped, given DHLP-P and rabies shots and given a dewormer for an adoption fee of $125.

Cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, given FVRCP-PN and rabies shots and given a dewormer for an adoption fee of $75.
