Arthur is a 3-year-old sweet teddy bear. We rescued him from a hoarding/puppy mill situation, and we have been helping to rehabilitate him. He's come so far during his time with us, but we have made the difficult decision that we are not the right home for him. We are working parents with kids in school and sports, and we spend so much time away from the house. Because of his past, Arthur experiences separation anxiety when he's crated, and it doesn't feel fair to make him endure that much stress throughout his day. He does fine in his crate overnight, but he gets anxious during the day. He would be best suited to a family who is home more during the day. He also would be best suited to a home with another dog. He has done well with my children, who are ages 7 and 9. He is house-trained with a dog door, has been working on leash training, and has learned the 'lay down' command. Arthur is truly a sweetheart. With lots of love and patience, he will be a great addition to your family.
