Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our staff favorite and all-around good girl Kendra! Kendra has been with HSWM for nearly two years and we hope that she can find a forever person to love as hard as she loves our staff.
Hi, I'm Kendra! My first interview question for my new person is: Do you have a car? I LOVE CARS! Car rides are my favorite thing in the world. Now that we have that out of the way, I'll tell you a bit about me! I'm a Belgian Malinois, which I believe translates to "too smart for my own good." I tend to think I am smarter than most dogs and most people too. I learn new skills very quickly and I love to have a challenge to keep my brain busy. I am an expert in "sit," "up," and "off" and new commands come pretty quickly to me, especially when treats are involved. I absolutely LOVE to play fetch with a basketball and I like to herd the ball around too! I am an older girl in number only, and I am not looking for a quiet retirement home to rest. Instead, I want a home where I can have mental stimulation, lots of exercise, and to be included in my new human's activities. Sometimes I get excited and pull when I'm out on walks, but with a little reminder or two I'm back to walking nicely. I love my caregivers at the shelter, and I know once I meet my person I will bond very quickly and love them forever. I will do best in a home with adults only or older children, as I am pretty tall and bouncy and may knock younger kids over. I do not like cats, but I have met a few dog friends at the shelter. If you have dogs at home, you can bring them to the shelter to meet me and see if we get along!
If you think you may be Kendra's perfect match, please contact HSWM to learn more about her!
