My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What do you get when a dog rescue decides to take in a momma cat with kittens?!
Suri and her kittens!
This little family came to us in mid-July, and we're estimating the babies were born 7/13/2022. They were found outside in the summer heat, and once it was determined momma was not feral we quickly got them inside.
Momma cat is Suri, and she’s just a baby herself, at only between 1-2 years old. She did a great job taking care of her kittens and is now ready for a hope to be pampered in!

She is an AMAZING girl, and would do great in most homes. She has met some dogs, and does good with calm or laid back dogs, that ignore her. She hasn’t met any other cats in ourr care, just yet but we can help with introductions.

Their  $150 adoption fee will include her being spayed/neutered, micorchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. All of our cats our for INDOOR ONLY homes. The outdoors is a dangerous place for cats, and we want our babies safe and happy! If you have any questions or would like information about the dangers of letting your cat outdoors, please let us know and we will be happy to talk to you. ALSO if you are looking for a community/working cat for rodent or pest control please check out our city shelter, https://animalfoundation.com/workingcats

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We adopt out pets to people living in Las Vegas and Henderson Nevada. As of now we do NOT do out of state adoptions.

In order to adopt you must fill out an application. We can e-mail one or you are also more than welcome to fill out one in person at one of our events.

*Please be aware we can not adopt out dog or puppies that will be/are over 50 pounds to apartments or condos, with the exception that the dog has special needs or is over the age of 5.*

What is included in your adoption?
Before our animals are adopted out they are up to date on vaccines, wormed, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered.

Why charge an adoption fee?
Please be aware that we do not make any money on these adoptions, the adoption fee's are simply to try a recoup some of the money that we put into the animals in the rescue. Any donation or adoption fee goes to saving another life and keeping our programs running.

*Please note that although we do our best to keep the website updated some animals may no longer be available for adoption. Approved applicants can adopt on a first come first serve basis, we can not hold an animal for any reason.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are kept in foster homes to provide them with a less stressful environment. We do adoption events throughout the month.

If interested in setting up a time to meet our animals please visit our website and fill out an application BEFORE scheduling a time to meet the animal you may be interested in.

More about this rescue

Second Chance Animal Rescue is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to saving and rehoming the homeless animals of Las Vegas. Our mission is to improve the lives of homeless, abandoned, neglected, and abused animals through out rescue, rehabilitations and re-homing efforts. We endeavor to remove them from harms way by pulling them from kill shelters, taking them in through owner surrenders, providing for their immediate medical needs, evaluating their behavioral and social needs, then finding suitable placements for them so that they may live out the remainder of their lives happy, healthy, and well loved. We seek to show all these animals the love and respect they deserve that comes through humane care, heartfelt compassion, and the touch of human kindness.
