My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ace! A Handsome, Sweet, Affectionate & Very Special Boy. 75lbs, 3yrs young, Full of Life & Excited about his 2nd chance! ...a small share by his rescuer who heard about Ace's living condition.
"He had barely any water and each day I’m sure was no lower than 90 degrees outside.. He barely had any food, the food he did have were covered in ants! With a breed like Ace he needs tons of leg room to run around and be free.. He had none of that.. He truly looked like the most heartbroken dog I’ve ever seen.. He was alone 24/7 no human contact whatsoever..."
As his Foster mom, despite his past he is the sweetest & well behaved boy, so grateful for his meal & human interaction! After a meal he will sometimes try to sit on my lap, he presses his head into me ... as if to say that was so yummy, Thank You! He responds well to his Handler, comes when called, heels close & if he gets a head to explore & smell, he will come right back to me, he has earned "off-leash" rights. He is good & friendly with all sizes of dogs & people...men, women & children. Just not a cat lover. If able to keep separate it's definitely workable (I have 4cats) He is a true Joy! He has not had exposure to much at all & when getting to experience something the first time, he is sometimes unsure but quickly overcomes, as his desire joy & excitement to explore with his pack overcomes any fear he has, He is a Trooper! He is Not an incessant barker, loves & eats all his food, Loves playing ball & heading out to go on hikes, walks, the Beach Anywhere & Everywhere! He travels exceptionally well...no whining, barking, complaining! He allows the Vets to do a very thorough check up w/Zero issues. He responds well to encouragement & it makes him try even harder ie. learning to use a ramp! My observation; Ace needs a person...who Needs him! As he too Needs that person! "A symbiotic therapy relationship"
He reminds us of being Joyful no matter ones situation. With this all said, Ace is a "Special Needs" Dog, he has a neurological issue that causes him to be a little off balance & sometimes he might fall to his side, slip & slide on tile & wood. This Never gets in his way of his joy for life & being with his person on hikes, walks, travels. He does need some assistance sometimes on a dog ramp if a big truck bed to get up (if it's steep) he learns quick & wants to DO! Just Do it!
He has been checked out by a Vet & his xrays show excellant hips & blood work. He has been seen by a Neuro-Vet to get more answers, currently pending.
If you have the Love, Patience & Understanding for a Lovely, Sweet, Engaging, Grateful, Good mannered dog you would like to have as your part of Family, consider Ace.. He's worth your time. I will begin to work on more commands (he knows sit, come, heel)
& his puppy nipping when he gets excited. It's not bad nor does he bite, but improvement will only help him.
