***AT SHELTER***
Whiskers of Love: The unbreakable bond with Hershey!
Meet Hershey, the enchanting feline with emerald green eyes and an air of mystery. With his dark and alluring appearance, Hershey captivates all who lays eyes on him. But beneath his mysterious exterior lies a heart of gold. Rescued as a stray from the streets of Hamilton, Hershey journeyed to EHS where he now awaits that special someone or family so he can bring joy and warmth to their home.
Hershey is the epitome of gentleness and tranquility. He possesses a serene demeanor that brings a sense of calmness to those around him. Sweet and friendly, he effortlessly wins the hearts of both humans and fellow feline friends. Initially, he was timid and reserved; however, as time passed, his true personality began to shine through. Now, Hershey is a confident and comfortable cat who longer hides away. He loves exploring and experiencing new things. His favourite perch is a cozy cat tree, where he can observe his surroundings and chime in with his unique perspective. When he is not busy being an observer, Hershey enjoys cuddling with other cats, earning him the endearing nickname of the "shelter barber" for his exceptional grooming skills.
Though Hershey is open to receiving pets, he appreciates a slow approach, allowing him to sniff your hands and establish a connection. He particularly adores the sensation of a gentle back-scratcher or the thrill of a feather wand, but lately he's also loving having his cheeks scratched by hand. Food is another love of his life, and his motivation to please is apparent in his eagerness during mealtimes.
Hershey has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat. It is not transmissible to humans or other species. Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for, with a good diet, indoor home, loving family, and vet checkups twice a year. Hershey does not require medication, but he would probably love to have a home with a fellow feline-friendly cat who's also FIV+. A patient person with a calm, quiet home, without small children, would suit him well.
Above all, Hershey is a true love bug. His affectionate nature knows no bounds. So why not welcome Hershey into your home and let the sweetest cat in town bring you endless joy and happiness!
-------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home a feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300!
