Sep is a big loving goofball. Do you know what they say about big dogs? That's just more dogs to love! Very playful but also happy to settle down with a good chew toy. His favorite toy in the world is a squeaky tennis ball. He's everything you think of in a dog; he loves to fetch endlessly, playing tug, giving kisses, and curling up at the foot of the bed with you. He will snuggle with you any chance he gets. He's very people- and dog-friendly, knows how to sit and come, is crate-trained, house-trained, and is still perfecting his leash training. Anyone looking for a big silly baby would not go wrong with him. Sep's intelligence and eagerness to please make training sessions a joy. He picks up new commands quickly and is always ready to show off his latest tricks, earning treats and praise with his charming antics. His progress with leash training is a testament to his willingness to learn and grow, and with a bit more practice, he'll be the perfect walking buddy. In short, Sep is a one-of-a-kind dog who brings joy, love, and laughter to everyone he meets. He's not just a pet; he's a cherished family member, ready to share his boundless affection and zest for life with anyone lucky enough to welcome him into their home. September has tested positive for heartworms. HSEC gives heartworm positive dogs a course of antibiotics and steroids. They then receive monthly heartworm prevention, as any dog should. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian before adopting a heartworm-positive dog. Interested in adopting September? Head over to hsecarolina.org to apply today!

More about this rescue
The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
