Lily is a captivating cat in a diminutive package. People walking by on the street often stop to talk to the tiny orange creamsicle cat. Because Lily has lived most of her life outside (she was only brought inside to have her kittens, including her son, the sweet Pumpkin), she can be shy at first but LOVES to be pet. She will let you pick her up; although it is not her favorite, she does seem to like tours of the house, "Lily this is the kitchen with the fridge and the stove" and kisses on her head while being held. She loves being spoken to and having someone watch her eat her food. She basically loves attention. She was practically still a kitten when she had her first and only litter, but she remains playful. Her current feeder is now keeping her inside, so she is acclimating to being an inside only cat!
She had her kittens young but was and remains a dedicated and fair mother. When her son Pumpkin would get in her business, she would gently move his face with her paw. Since Pumpkin has been in the hospital, she has been alone, but they used to like to take naps together and she was always keeping an eye on him and would look for him when she couldn't see him. It would be amazing for them to be reunited in a loving forever home, but that is not required.

More about this rescue
I have been involved in cat rescue since 2012. I have rescued cats from various Southern California shelters and from the street (through TNR, finding abandoned pets, etc.) I love cats and want to help them to have better lives by finding loving and safe forever homes for them.
