My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Homer is a wonderful 9-month-old boy, who was an owner surrender. Homer is a Beagle / Boxer mix and at 35 pounds, 16 inches was just too big and active for life in an apartment!

This handsome boy was kennel trained and stays in his kennel quietly while bowls are filled at feeding time. He is housebroken with use of a dog door and is not a marker. He is well behaved for a puppy, but will chew on things if left lying around, so normal puppy rules should be enforced…..pick up shoes and close doors!

Homer loves to play. He excels at wrestling and playing chase. He can annoy older dogs if no one is around to play with. He will nip at their butts until they start chasing him! He will need an active family with a young playful canine buddy.

This handsome boy does love to cuddle next to his human for quiet time. He does not bite at hands like so many pups do. He enjoys tummy rubs or just your hand resting on his back. Homer will make a wonderful addition to your family but will not do well in an apartment or as an only dog. Apply today to meet this great boy!
