My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harbor!!! He is a blend of awesome cuteness. He is neutered and about 14 weeks old. Harbor would love a family that has time to teach him all kinds of cool stuff.

We aren’t sure what he is mixed with but he sure is a handsome boy. He is very alert and attentive to his people. He would love to go to obedience classes with you and learn how to be a model citizen!

If you think that this handsome little boy is a great fit for your family, please fill out our application:

More about this rescue

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 72,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
