Introducing Macy, a delightful 2.5-year-old spayed female Australian Kelpie mix, adorned in a striking coat of black, tan, and white. Though Macy may appear timid when meeting new people, her gentle spirit quickly warms up, revealing a friendly and affectionate personality. Macy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she can safely explore and express her playful nature. She's truly in her element outdoors, whether she's sprinting joyfully, engaging in lively play, or simply rolling in the grass to her heart's content. A dog-friendly darling, Macy would love to have a canine companion to share in her adventures and games. Her social nature and fondness for other dogs make her an excellent candidate for a household looking to add another pup to their pack. Macy's initial shyness quickly melts away as she becomes familiar with her surroundings, making her a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates the rewarding journey of gaining a pet's trust. If you're looking for a playful, loving, and somewhat shy friend who blossoms with a little patience and a lot of love, Macy might just be the perfect addition to your family.

More about this shelter
The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.
Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.
Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
