Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet angel is such a doll!!! She has a bit of wild hair, but what queen doesn't! She was found with her puppies and what we believe to be their dad, just out wandering. It was apparent from the jump that none the dogs were used to human contact. Punkin will come when called, but cowers when you reach down to pet her. She is great with other dogs, both big and small, but hasn't been exposed to cats. She is gentle when taking treats and not at all food aggressive. She is doggie door trained, and only had a couple of accidents before she put 2 and 2 together and came up with doggie door, but that is to be expected. She loves to snuggle on your lap while resting her head on your shoulder or arm. If you reach down to pick her up, she'll cower down and roll to her back. She takes time to get used to people, but does great once she get to know them. She does fair on a leash, but must be in a harness so her precious neck doesn't get injured in case she stops walking. Yeah, she had it rough!!! She was just a baby when she had hers (which are also ready for adoption) and doesn't appear to have ever been in a house for very long. Training will be a process with her, so repetition will be key. She responds well with "good girl" and pats. We have been working on getting her to stop jumping, but it's a slow process.
