My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toby!

Toby is a 10 year-old 6 lb chihuahua miniature pinscher mix. This gentleman of leisure is ready to live out his golden years cuddling, cuddling, and more cuddling under a blanket next to his forever humans.

Some fun personality traits he has are:

Squealing with joy whenever you come through a door.

Never losing his appetite.

Burrowing under blankets.

Only having about 10 teeth left, which gives him a spunky smile.

Enjoying a good walk where he can stare at squirrels.

Toby would do best in a home with adults or older kids that is quiet and with lots of time to give him affection. He has been good with his foster cat sister and dog brother, but prefers humans. He is house trained and great on leash. He vocalizes a warning when he needs space from other animals, but does not show any aggression.

$250 adoption donation includes neutered, recent dental work, up to date on shots and monthly preventatives.

Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout CA. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a weeks time.
