Ruth is a spayed female cat, probably born summer 2021. She is the mother of Josephine in the kitten room. Her foster mom said she was very nice with them (she was there for a few months), but wasn't a fan of strangers. We can see her walking around through the window, but when she hears her room door open she ducks behind a kuranda tower. If we give her time and sit patiently she will come out and sniff us, then it's all over. She will roll on the ground, bump against us, rub up on the other cats, and be the belle of the ball. But...one sudden noise and she darts back into hiding so she isn't 100% comfortable here yet. Ruth has a unique coat pattern - she looks a lot like an American Shorthair, but of course, we don't have a pedigree on her, so she's not a fancy-schmancy purebred. Just a really pretty, very sweet and reserved little kitty. Ruth might do best in a quiet home where she can be the center of attention.
