Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gorgeous and Goofy, three year old Lucy (formerly known as Poochie) with one blue eye and one brown, is a pure joy! Lucy is very loving and SO smart! She will give you either of her paws depending on which one you ask for. This 60 lb beauty knows Sit, Stay, Down and Wait. Her favorite toy, believe it or not, is a big stick. She wants you to throw it and she will chase it and bring it back to you every time. If you are on a walk with her and she sees a stick, she will pick up the stick and walk proudly with the stick in her mouth. She also likes to play with the big squeaky Kong balls and she will bring those back to you and roll them at your feet. When properly introduced, Lucy gets along just fine with male dogs, and is not always fond of females. Her medium-energy playful nature would be lovely for kids 10 and up.
Lucy is very loyal and can be protective of her person, but she does follow commands very well, and when you tell her “No” or “Stop” she calms right down and she actually stops. She is extremely obedient. She loves butt scratches, being petted and giving kisses. She also loves to have her beautiful white and brindle coat brushed and groomed, and she adores car rides.
At night when you're getting ready for bed, she will either lay on the dog bed or she will lay at the foot of the bed next to your feet. Who could ask for a more perfect companion?
