Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I’m Roslyn, but my friends call me Roz. I’m a sophisticated lady who loves to hang out on your shoulder. I’ve been studying something called “Surgery” and something else called “Medicine” with my foster mom, so I’m basically a doctor now. Foster mom says she loves when I chat with her while we sit on the couch, even though my squeaks are “petite”, whatever that means. I lived with a guinea pig companion previously before she passed over the rainbow bridge, but have been doing well without one at my foster mom’s house. If you want to bond me with another piggy it would be better if they were very young. I can’t wait to find my forever home with someone who will spend lots of time with me and give me all the attention I deserve.
RCHS guinea pigs live in loving foster homes where they are socialized, given sufficient exercise outside of their cage, and fed a diet of grass hay, Timothy pellets, and fresh vegetables daily to maintain a healthy weight. Guinea pigs do require a vet trained in exotic animal medicine and have special housing and dietary needs. We encourage you to please research guinea pigs thoroughly before adopting.
