My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weight: 50 pounds.
Reported good with cats and kids 10+
Must have a physically fenced-in yard.

Meet Kelsey! Kelsey came to Mostly Muttz after living outside on a farm with many other dogs for the first six years of her life. She was rescued along with her six puppies, who have since been adopted and are known to our rescue as the 'Irish Litter'.

Kelsey would love nothing more than to share your sofa in her forever home. While this girl is somewhat timid, she shows her personality once she knows she is loved. She prefers to spend the majority of her day indoors and is an all-around very easy girl. You may need to think for her at times. Kelsey does not need to be crated in the home while by herself and would prefer not to be. She does okay with other dogs but is really not interested in playing and we are looking for a forever home with minimal other pets or another very laid-back dog. She does prefer other female dogs to male dogs, but could live with a laid back male that would allow her, her space. She is not interested in the companionship of other dogs and a bit of a lone wolf in that regard. She is very food motivated and she absolutely loves to go for car rides. City life would be overwhelming for her and is not recommended. She walks nicely on a leash but prefers short walks rather than long walks.

Kelsey was on live TV! More about this rescue

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
