Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chispita!
Oh, hey there, I'm Chispita! I'm the most special little lady as I'm blind, probably from being diabetic. Don't let all that hoobety hooblah deter you from wanting to make me a member of your family though! I'm a super simple girl, I just need to eat every 12 hours and get a teeny tiny little shot of insulin and I'm as happy as a lamb. I'm about 10 years old, and weight just around 10 pounds. I get along well with other dogs, and the cats here even like me as much as I like them! I had a few accidents in the house, I try to hit the puppy pads, but sometimes I miss.
I'm really good about finding my way around the house even though I'm blind. I know where my bed is, and you can bet your bottom dollar I know where my food bowl is! Outside I have my routes that I follow so I don't bump into anything. I love cuddling with my humans and my foster parents say I make a perfect heater! I'm looking for a family who will love me, even with having to give me a couple shots a day. I'm little and I don't take up much room. Do you have some space in your house for me to crash?
*Chispita is being fostered in the Baraboo area.

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
