You might be wondering where I get a name such as Clovis (meaning renowned fighter); well when I was found I had some pretty bad injuries and was severely emaciated (for real I was basically a skeleton with skin and fur). Thank goodness MAS was able to take me in and nurse me back to health. It was pretty touch-and-go for a while, and I almost didn't make it...but with the help of MAS, we fought for my life and overcame the odds. Though I am "out of the woods" as they say, some TLC is still needed (and wanted,...I want all your cuddles!).
Despite having such a traumatic past, I am such a baby dog. I LOVE people of all ages, I am such a happy boy, which just goes to show how resilient and positive I really am (except with cats...I am positive I am not a fan of those things). I have done well meeting some of the other dogs at MAS as well. I am just so ready to find a place that I am welcomed as part of a family, and feel safe that I will never have to go through anything like my past again. I have all the love in the world to give, if only I am given a chance.

Approve Application
Our approval process ensures that the dog you are interested in is an appropriate match, or uncovering an overlooked perfect match for you!

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
We invite your family to come out to meet with the dog(s) that are compatible to narrow down and decide what dog is right for your family.
4.
Meet the Pet
We schedule a required second visit to finalize adoption. If a dog introduction is needed, we do so and finalize the adoption.
5.
Take the Pet Home
At the end of your second visit, you are able to take your new dog home, or schedule a third visit to bring your dog home!
