Meet Big Boy Bleu!! This handsome 5-year-old Pitbull mix has a striking appearance with his beautiful coat and soulful eyes. Bleu was rescued as a stray in Texas and he clearly had a tough life on the streets. He’s a good hearted boy who has never known the love of a home and someone to be by his side. He has been waiting a long time for that special someone to give him the chance he needs to flourish in a home. He is about 65 lbs and a very strong boy so he would do best with an experienced adopter and a fully fenced yard. Bleu is house/crate trained. Bleu would thrive best in a home where he can be the only dog and with no children. He prefers to have all the attention and love to himself and would truly blossom in an environment where he can be the center of your world. With your undivided love and care, Bleu will flourish. Big Boy Bleu is looking for a forever home where he can be cherished and loved for the rest of his days with someone who knows they are making a difference for a dog who truly needs a second chance. An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
