Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome little guy was found with a crate on a country road along with a brother and sister. The 3 puppies were running in the road when they were found, so we do not know if they somehow escaped the crate or if they were dumped but they left the crate open when they dumped them. In any event, we're very happy that a good Samaritan found them and got them to rescue before something awful (more awful than being dumped in the road even) could happen to them. The vet estimated the puppies were about 14 weeks old when they were found.
We do not know his breed mix for sure, but he appears to be a black Lab. He is exceptionally sweet and was smart enough to learn to use the doggy door in his foster home within a day. There were a couple of accidents the first day, but none since then. We would call him house-trained to a doggy door, but he may need to learn how to tell you when he needs to go outside if you don't have a doggy door for him.
He has the gentle and chill demeanor typical of Labrador Retrievers and will make a wonderful family pet. He plays great with pups of all sizes and ages in his foster home and goes right into his crate happily at bedtime. Baron was just a little bit shy when we first rescued him, but he came out of his shell quickly and runs up for love and attention with all the other pups now.
