My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley is a very special kitty who is looking for an equally special adopter! He was rescued by a Virginia Beach resident working as a contractor in Jordan as part of his efforts to TNR some of the many, many street cats of Amman. As his time working there winds down, he’s desperately seeking loving permanent homes for them in the US - how cool would it be to add one of these babies to your family? Not everyone has a Jordanian cat, after all!

Marley was surrendered to his foster dad by his owners after he got into a fight with another cat and the wound became infected. He’s the Alpha male of the apartment and a cool, cool cat! He is very affectionate and loves to give head butts and eskimo kisses. He likes to be held as well. He's the most inquisitive of the bunch of cats and is always the first to investigate something new, or an opened cabinet, or if anything was moved.

He loves water! Whenever his dad does dishes or brushes his teeth,Marley is sitting on the sink "helping". At shower time, he's camped out on the bathmat waiting for him to finish so he can get petted! His dad actually had to purchase a larger bath mat just to accommodate him! His favorite toys are plastic drinking straws and rubber bouncy balls. He has lots of energy but can sometimes get carried away playing with the other cats. He’s around 2 years old.

Because Marley is a young cat (around 2 years old) with a lot of energy, he would be perfect for a family with children who are old enough to know how to behave around cats. He does very well with the other rescue cats in his foster home, and should adapt well if introduced properly to other cats as part of his new family.
