My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ACE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Ace is a friendly and social 2-year-old mixed breed looking for a loving family. A DNA test revealed Ace is 50% German Shepherd, 45% Labrador Retriever, and 5% Shar-Pei all combined to make one perfect pooch. Ace was adopted from Pal's Place in August 2020 at just nine weeks old. Pal's Place rescued him from an overburdened animal control facility in eastern Kentucky with his five littermates back in 2020. Ace has been very well loved and cared for his entire life. However, his adopters had a lifestyle change and no longer felt they could offer Ace the time, attention, and exercise a young dog like Ace needs and deserves. Ace is back in the care of Pal's Place, waiting to meet his new family. He is a fantastic family companion, friendly, affectionate, and gregarious! He also LOVES other dogs and has always lived with another dog. His ideal home will have at least one other playful and social canine companion for him. Ace's interests include long walks, playing fetch, wrestling with his canine buddies, and cuddling on the couch with his humans. Typical of the two breeds that make up most of his DNA, Ace is an energetic and intelligent dog who needs an active household to keep up with him. We discovered that he will climb over a 5' fence if left unattended in a yard, so a privacy fence of 6' or taller or a family that can commit to leash-walking is a requirement for him. Ace is crate trained, housebroken, and knows some basic commands. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and eager to meet you!

• Ace's adoption fee to the rescue is $375. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines. Ace can be visited by appointment once an adoption application is submitted and approved by the rescue. To complete an adoption application online, visit http://palsplacerescue.org/adopt/ or email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an application or more information. We cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to welcome a new member into the home within three days of applying.

• Pal's Place adoption fees start at $475 for puppies and $375 for dogs aged six months or older. This fee helps to cover medical expenses needed to prepare dogs for adoption (vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter surgeries, etc.), feeding, transportation, and general care for the dogs. Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations to care for our rescued dogs.

• Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website, www.palsplacerescue.org, for an adoption application. Pal's Place is a volunteer-run organization. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response. Please also check your spam/junk folder when awaiting an answer; sometimes, replies and applications end up in there!
