Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Up for adoption in Texas: Buck and Dolly.
Hi, my name is Buck and I am bonded with my best friend Dolly. We will only be adopted together. The shelter we were rescued from says we are about 10 years old, although our foster mom thinks we might be closer to 7 years old. We are both 49 pound chocolate pups.
I am the more outgoing one of our dynamic duo. I insist on cuddles and would love to squeeze into your lap to rest. I love to carry my favorite toys everywhere I go and can easily entertain myself. My foster mom says I am a good eater, although sometimes she has to remind me to slow down. (The likely Lab in me!)
This is my best girl, Dolly. She is a real lady! While I may jump up to get your attention for pets making me not the best for small children, Dolly will sit right at your feet patiently waiting her turn.
We live with a foster brother and do well together but haven’t quite made up our mind about dogs we pass on the street.
Dolly sometimes barks outside, and I sometimes coo when I am ready for attention but overall we are quiet companions.
We are both excellent fetchers and love to play “no take backs." We’ve made big improvements walking on a leash and know basic commands like sit and up. Dolly even knows how to shake; I told you she was a lady. We stay together during the day in a closed off area in the house. We do best when we can snuggle up next to each other. We take a little adjusting to our new environment, but we are house trained. We are also up to date on our vaccines, spayed, neutered and microchipped.
We would love a family that is looking for buddies to lounge with and go on leisurely walks.
