My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you need some “me” time in the mornings, then Sylvie is the companion for you! Enjoy a couple of cups of coffee and a shower before this loving, “velvet hippo” cuddle-bug even starts her day. Or sleep in and snuggle with her! Sylvie is curious, confident, silly, and occasionally energetic. She likes short 30 minute walks, kisses, hanging out with you and a tug-of-war after a good nap. Any physical touch, like snuggles, belly rubs or ear scratches are welcome.
She may be a little over eager around the younger children. They could be scared by all the kisses and her wanting to be so close. At 8 yrs old, she's not interested in other dogs and will usually walk right past them. But she should be monitored when other dogs are close by. For these reasons she will be most successful in a home that has no other dogs or children under 10.
As a proper lady, Sylvie is housetrained, will stay when told, and doesn’t need crating. She will shake your hand and is open to learning more. She likes to feel secure so keep her leashed outside, but do introduce her to all your human friends, especially those she can meet after a car ride or at a patio bar. Your day will end with her head in your lap, because she is your new best friend.
