My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie earned a middle name, Potato. She is built precisely like a baked potato with legs underneath. She is a real hoot, and has a few endearing nicknames like "Spud", "Hash Browns" and "Tater". It's a wonder she isn't from Idaho! Rosie actually came to us from Oklahoma, where she was impounded and never reclaimed. Sadly, she sat in the rural pound for several months and by the time we rescued her, she was heartworm positive. She is now undergoing treatment so she can become healthy and live a long & happy life. Rosie loves to lounge, and does well with cats. She isn't found of jumpy dogs antagonizing her, but does well with dogs her speed (which is mostly neutral). Once she completes her treatment, Rosie would benefit from a diet & exercise regimen to take some weight off her full figure. Shes' a bit too rotund (aren't we all?). She would love to go on new adventures like hikes and trips to the lake. We are looking for the best home for our tater girl, she's pretty special and deserves the world!

Rosie Potato is a female Chocolate Lab/Terrier mix (our best guess of breeds), weighs 72 lbs and was born approximately 8-6-19. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. She is being provided life-saving heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
