My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 18-Jul-2022

Jambalaya is being fostered with his litter at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.

Hello, my name is Jambalaya! I am a 10 week old male kitten. I am a black tabby with lots of silvery fur around my face. I always get comments on how cool and unique I look. I am very snuggly and like to fall asleep on the couch in a nest of soft blankets. If you’re looking for a kitten to snuggle with under the covers while you nap, then I might be the one for you!

I am a very sweet and affectionate kitten that will start purring as soon as I see you. I like to be kissed all over and have my belly rubbed. I sleep a lot and I sleep HARD. I can stay sleeping with kittens wrestling on me and you can even pick me up and move me around without me opening my eyes. Almost every day my foster mum sees me asleep with my face in the food bowl because I fall asleep mid meal. It is very cute, but you should feed me with my food bowl elevated to prevent this from happening too often.

Although I am a very deep sleeper, when I am awake I have a lot of energy. I am still a young kitten so I really enjoy playing with everything and running around. I am also still learning not to use my teeth and claws when playing, especially if I want my human’s attention. Because of this, I should not be in a home with small humans. It would be best if I was adopted with my sister Paella; we are always snuggling and playing together.

In my foster home there are two adult cats and a big dog. I just ignore them and they don’t bother me, but I do sometimes get tempted to play with the dog’s tail when it is wagging. I am very good at using the litter box and I am a very healthy eater, other than when I fall asleep while eating. I do sometimes get startled by loud noises and will hide under the furniture, but I get over it quickly.

If I sound like the kitten for you and you want to see more pictures and videos of me and my siblings, check out my foster mum’s Instagram feed @blindandbobtail https://www.instagram.com/blindandbobtail/?hl=en
