My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this sweet, beautiful girl, Bear! She is 6-7ish years old, looks like pure bred Australian shepherd, and weighs about 65 lbs (she’s down from 87 lbs, but still has some more to lose). She was recently spayed, got all her vaccines, and was microchipped. Prior to the spay, the vets discovered two mammary masses. Both are removed. Bear has a strong prey drive and must have a home without small animals or livestock. She is fine with other dogs, though a little bossy with other females. She is quite mellow, but benefits from room to run and play. She loves everyone she meets. She knows to sit before eating, going out the door, etc. She is responsive to gentle verbal corrections, but knows few commands. Bear, and her Rottweiler mix friend Buddy, are living with us while we help a neighbor find them a new home because he is divorcing and neither person can keep the dogs.
