My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just 2 yrs old, this girl found herself wandering the streets of Atlanta all by herself. It took a few attempts to catch her, but when they did, a scared and shy Min Pin/Dachshund mix appeared, unsure of what was going to happen next.

It didnt take long for her to get comfy in her foster home and her true personality came out. Tula is a loving pup, who follows you around, and wants to be with you all the time. If you take a seat, either on your lap, or by your side, are her seat of preference. She does great in a crate and on a leash, and NOT a barker. Loves all people, kids, dogs of all sizes, and even cats.

At just under 20 lbs, a bit more exercise would be encouraged to get 1 or 2 lbs off her mid section, but other than that, what a perfect fur baby.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
