This beautiful young lady is Lexi - a 1.5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. She is a petite girl, weighing in at 42 pounds.

Lexi is the TOTAL PACKAGE! She's has been around kids as young as 3 and was excellent with them. Lexi is house and crate trained, though she'd rather be with her people than in her crate. She does great with the cats in her foster home.

In the past, Lexi lived with other dogs and enjoyed their company. Unfortunately, there were a couple incidents and Lexi is now unsure and uneasy around other dogs. For now, we believe Lexi will do best as your one and only canine love. Her foster mom thinks a fenced yard would be ideal for her too.

If you're looking for a snuggle bug, Lexi is your girl! She loves to cuddle with her person, as well as in bed under the covers. She's very smart and already knows several commands. And she isn't much of a barker, though she does like to "talk" to you.

Her foster mom said " She loves to cuddle and snuggle up under blankets! She also loves to show her love with lots of kisses. I hope she gets adopted by someone who may be willing to repair her relationship with dogs. She is a sweetie pie and deserves the best!"

If you'd like to adopt Lexi, apply today! Her minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
