My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nimzy ADORES affection. She won't nag you about it, but when you have some time to sit and scratch her, especially on her back by her tail, she will fall over and try to lick you in appreciation. Sometimes she gets a little TOO excited, and nips at your fingers in a misdirected attempt to show how grateful she is. This girl just loves to be loved. Her daughter, Mabel, is a little obsessed with Nimzy. Mama Nimzy was tolerant of the love at first, but now seems to be resigned in a "My fans can't get enough of me" type of way.
Nimzy does have some left over skittishness with sudden movements or loud noises, likely from being abandoned in the woods while pregnant. She would do well in a quiet house with Mabel, where she can live in the lap of lazy luxury.

$100 adoption fee per cat.

Hardest part of rescue is:
- Not being able to save every cat.
- Finding excellent homes for our rescues.

Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. All our rescues are in loving foster homes.

The $100 adoption fee per cat insures that all cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), microchipped, vaccinated for Rabies and FVRCP (feline distemper), dewormed, and have been treated for fleas.
