Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Microchipped; DOB: June 8, 2016.
Sas is a sensitive, sweet and good-natured cat. She loves to be petted and loves to be a part of everything that is going on in the foster home. At first Sas did not play very much but she now really enjoys her toys, especially the fish on a wand toy. She is very good about using the litter box. Sas really loves to eat and gets very excited at mealtime; she is not fussy about food. When she thinks she’s about to be fed she lets out a very, very long meow - somewhat reminiscent of the screaming goat in "The Grinch"!
Sas’s history is unclear, but she was extremely fearful when first rescued and would not allow anyone to touch her. It took a bit of time but eventually she began to trust her foster family who could see that she was a gentle soul underneath her fears. She has become quite confident and really loves exploring her foster home. She also now loves to be petted but likes to smell your hand first. She then bows her head to let you know that it's OK to go ahead. Her adopters will just have to be mindful of her body language.
Sas is a bit intimidated by other cats and is afraid of the foster family dog so she should be an only pet. She will need a transition period so that she can get used to her new home and learn to trust her adopters. At first, she might be startled by new things and may hiss but eventually she will settle in well.
Sas has come such a long way in just a few months. She is looking for her forever family where she will feel safe and loved.
